What is Light?

Light is luminous, radiant, glorious and Divine energy.  The radiance and illumination from The Source, The Creator.  Light is Source.  Source is Energy.  Energy is Life.  Life is Light.  Light is Spirit.  We are Spirit.  We are Light.

When we speak of Light  in terms of our Spirit, we must appreciate that we are humans in the Spiritual condition. We exist as individuals with free will, operating with the immense gift of choice, yet we engage in a profound, cumulative, infinite and vast connection between ourselves and other human beings as well as all living things. We are all created in the Light.  In the same Light as that  of The Creator, and we have no separation between Him, our neighbors, our co-workers,

our friends, our not-so good friends.  We are all created from the same Light, the same breath, regardless of our religious beliefs.   Society and our Ego may have something else to say about this, yet on a Spiritual level, we are all One.

There is an awakening of Spiritual awareness occurring on our planet.  A massive collective yearning for One-ness amidst a sea of devastation, war, disease.  Perhaps it is because of our catastrophic political and societal climate that many of us are wondering either on a conscious or subconscious level, "Where do I belong?  What is my place here? How can I be utilized for the higher good of the planet"?  Perhaps it is this shift in one climate that creates the shift in Spiritual Humanity.  We have a hunger for purpose.  It is essential and basic to our existence.   We long to connect with our own Light, for we instinctually are aware that when we do, our connections to others and our planet will be meaningful, important and beautiful.

Where is the Light? In the Spaces Between!

We as humans are truly a goal oriented mess. Generally speaking, we have on a day to day basis, one focus:  to arrive at point B from point A.  Most of us do this several times in 24 hours, and on many different levels, depending on what our day consists of.  We have somehow created a situation where we measure and define our happiness and our status in society by what we can do, how quickly we do it, how expedient we are compared to our peers.  It is one huge race of Egos.  Then what?  Usually on some level, we crash and burn.  We have life altering experiences.  We "hit bottom" and have a new perspective. We have Angel winks.  We encounter Ah Ha moments.  I have little doubt that you would be on this web site if you had not been the recipient of any number of these things.  We somehow in our despair experience a glimmer of our own Light.   Because of our instinct  the Spirit begs to seek deeper, more wholly satisfying accomplishments! Less important becomes how you ran a board meeting, did grocery shopping, filled the car with gas and cooked dinner for 6 in under an hour.  More important becomes how peaceful and deeply connected to Spirit you are, the Supreme connection between your Self and the Spark of God within you.   More important becomes how sweet and wonderful your relationships with others become.   More important becomes your heightened sense of Awakening, Belonging and Pure Love.  Intuition is the bridge between the ego and the spirit.

Alright.  So you had a glimpse of your Light!  Yippy!  You have got to get back to that space, but how?  By connecting with the spaces between.  In the minute yet magnificent glimpses of usually unrecognizable milliseconds between fleeting thoughts lies Your Light.  When you are ready to receive, you will be able to achieve.  Amidst the almost constant mind chatter, you will sense a pull.  You will know when the time comes.  You have a million opportunities to do this throughout the time period that lies between when you wake and when you sleep.  There are fourteen hundred and fourty minutes in a day.  Take five minutes.  Although you possibly fear that your whole daily regime will now be in the toilet, all your plans will be ruined, you will lose the race, and your walls will come crumbling down, let it all just be.  Have a chat with your Ego and administer to it a chill pill.  Sit alone, in a comfortable space with minimal distraction. Here we go:

1:  Recognize that you are having a thought.

2:  Recognize that you are having another thought.

It is in the space  between these thoughts where stillness hence Light live.  It is a complete lack of sadness, anxiety, fear and anger, for these feelings stem strictly from memory or as a result of projection.  These are merely reminders of what events have occurred, or worries about what will occur.  In that sacred space of emptiness is your Purity.  Your Stillness,  Your Light.  All the Divine Wisdom of the ages is present and ready to be embraced by you.  Remind yourself that you are safe.  You are completely in your state of Light.

Getting To Know Your Own Light

I urge you to practice this as often as you can.  How do you feel after you consciously  connect with your Stillness and Light?  What physical manifestations does this practice create?  Does it have a shape?  What would it feel like if you were able to hold it in your hands?  What color is it?  Does it have a taste?  Does it have a face?  A persona?  You may want to keep a journal nearby to record your experiences, then compare them to see how they differ in depth and character.  They most likely will as time goes on.

Accept this Light as if it were your own child, for it is a part of you that you have been so sadly disconnected from for so long.  It is your own Authentic Light.  Your awakening to the Creator.  It has many stories to tell you.   You have much catching up to do.

                        Celebrate The Light

So important is the aspect of acknowledging your newly recognized ability to consciously connect to your Light.  Make a commitment to Your Light- this is a relationship that can only grow more profound with time.  Thank the Source for finally beckoning you.   Or better still, thank the Source for finally giving you the opportunity to acknowledge it!   It may not have been in the most gentle manner as some of us need a good bonk on the head -we are often too stubborn to sense gentle nudges, and we can thank our big egos for that!  Tell the Source that you will continue to walk your own Perfect Path.  Dance!  Sing!  Rejoice!  Share this information with loved ones.  Entertain the idea of having a Light Celebration with others.

Don't you feel so illuminated? Alive and vibrant?  Peaceful and insightful?  Twinkly and emerging?  Imagine for a moment a room full of awakening Spiritual beings.  Hold on a minute!  Imagine a whole street full, a whole community......Ponder the effects of celebrating everyone's Light!
